AN INVITATION
The Diversity Initiative at Hogan & Hartson is an ongoing strategic priority of the firm, intended to develop and maintain a globally diverse workforce and a firmwide culture that fosters and values creative leadership. As the Chair of this initiative, I lead our Diversity Committee, which is comprised of partners, associates, and staff. This committee is supported by Warren Gorrell, Hogan’s Chairman, the Executive Committee, and senior partners throughout the firm. Our efforts focus primarily on developing a flexible and sustainable framework to recruit, hire, nurture, retain, and promote employees from widely diverse backgrounds. To this end, we are committed to cultivating an inclusive workforce where all employees — regardless of race, national origin, gender, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or age — have the same opportunity to excel.
Our Diversity Initiative encourages employees to develop their leadership and professional skills by assisting them to cultivate external relationships with professional, cultural, and community groups, as well as participating in affinity groups that promote internal networking and provide a platform for community involvement.
The firm’s commitment to diversity is especially evident in our pro bono program, which includes community organizations, mentoring, and international projects across highly diverse cultural and social situations. You can read about just a few of these projects under “Case Studies.”
As our roster of offices and clients demonstrates, Hogan & Hartson operates in a highly diverse global environment. I invite you to explore our Diversity Web site and see for yourself the many ways in which Hogan & Hartson is committed to diversity.
