Dirk Besse's practice focuses on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, general corporate matters, and strategic counseling, with particular emphasis on aerospace and defense, media, telecommunications, and other regulated industries.
Dirk represents clients in relation to major cross-border merger and acquisition transactions in Germany, as well as advising on German foreign investment rules. He also handles major media, telecommunications, and high tech transactions. Dirk regularly advises German publicly listed companies on capital markets law and compliance requirements. He also counsels clients on public takeover transactions, and the setup and structuring of international joint ventures.
Before becoming an attorney, Dirk served as a trainee at the Commission of the European Union in Brussels and as an assistant lecturer at the University of Dresden.
He has published articles in the fields of private international law and European law.

Representation of a major European aerospace firm in selling a communications division in Germany.
Representation of a group of international strategic and finance investors on the acquisition, and later sale, of a chain of German television stations.
Representation of an international media group in the acquisition of a nationwide German pay-TV network.
