Dennis Tracey practices in all areas of complex commercial litigation, with principal concentration in the areas of securities class actions, professional liability, and complex financial litigation. He also represents clients in SEC and regulatory enforcement proceedings.  In addition, he represents corporate boards and committees in connection with internal investigations and matters of corporate governance.

Dennis has been a speaker at numerous professional education seminars, including the nationally distributed videotape "Understanding Financial Statements - Accounting for Lawyers." He is a contributing author of Settling Commercial Litigation: Negotiating, Drafting and Enforcing Agreements to Resolve Business Disputes.

Representative Experience
Trial counsel for a major accounting firm that was a defendant in a professional malpractice action in New York Supreme Court. After a four-week trial, the court dismissed the action and granted judgment to the accounting firm for unpaid professional fees.

Representation of companies, executives, and professional firms in investigations and proceedings before the SEC and other regulatory and enforcement agencies.

Representation of an automobile company that was sued for alleged federal antitrust violations in federal court in New York.

Trial counsel for an international construction concern which had asserted claims against its insurer and insurance broker in connection with a catastrophic loss on a third world construction project. The client recovered nearly the entire amount claimed in a settlement reached during trial.

Recovery of over $3 million in a series of actions seeking dissolution of a partnership and payment of damages.
