Erica S. Mintzer
Counsel, Washington, D.C.

Erica Mintzer's practice focuses on representing clients before the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, and various state attorneys general. In addition, Erica has significant experience counseling clients on a wide range of antitrust issues, including mergers, Robinson-Patman issues, distribution issues, and trade association matters. Erica also has litigation experience in federal antitrust actions, including federal antitrust administrative litigation before the FTC.

Prior to joining Hogan & Hartson, Erica was an attorney at the FTC and an associate at a leading New York law firm.

REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE
Currently developing antitrust compliance policies for various companies and trade associations.

Represented Synopsys in its acquisition of Avant!.

Provided counsel to General Dynamics in numerous defense related transactions.

Counsel to EMI in the U.S. Department of Justice investigation of online music.

Counseled a biotechnology trade association on antitrust compliance.

Represented a pharmaceutical company in an antitrust suit involving a patent settlement between a branded and generic pharmaceutical company.

Counseled a medical device and biotechnology company on antitrust aspects of proposed acquisitions.
