Howard Flack serves as the firm’s Managing Partner - Lateral Hiring and Integration, a position he has held since 2001. Howard coordinates all of the firm’s lateral partner and counsel recruiting and integration activities, which were recently highlighted in the March 2005 American Lawyer. Howard's business and finance practice focuses principally on matters involving private equity investment in health care, financial services, biotechnology and medical device companies, and mergers and acquisitions involving public and private companies. Most recently, Howard has represented several special committees in connection with various mergers and acquisition transactions.
Upon completing his legal education, Howard joined the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as a Staff Attorney in the Division of Corporation Finance. He was associated with a Washington, D.C. firm from 1979 to 1983 during which time his practice focused on the conversion of thrift institutions from mutual to stock form and business combinations involving banks and thrifts.
