Katherine Bolger's practice focuses on First Amendment and media law. She is experienced in all aspects of litigation, including discovery, depositions, and pleadings. She has drafted briefs, including appellate briefs and complex motions for summary judgment and has argued several motions in federal and state court.
Katherine's experience in First Amendment and media law includes having represented book and newspaper publishers in lawsuits for defamation, invasion of privacy, copyright, and trademark matters. She also has experience performing pre-publication review of articles for a daily newspaper, a weekly magazine, and for book authors. She has counseled professional authors in connection with First Amendment matters, as well as with copyright, trademark, contract, tax, electronic publishing, and intellectual property issues.
